Making Waves: BRANDITO's Summer Of Sustainability and Employee Engagement

In the summer of 2024, BRANDITO embarked on a transformative initiative aimed at bringing together our employees and creating a sense of inclusion across all offices while fostering wellness, collaboration, and some healthy competition. The Fill it Forward Summer Challenge became a pivotal part of this mission, enhancing internal connections, amplifying brand loyalty, and reinforcing our commitment to sustainability and charitable giving. By engaging employees in meaningful activities, we aimed to create an exciting challenge that reflects our core values. 

The Challenge: Creating Collaboration Across Multiple Locations

With employees spread across multiple locations, fostering a strong sense of community and engagement was a significant challenge for our company. We understood the importance of finding a creative solution to bring together our diverse teams and build meaningful connections. That’s where the Fill It Forward Summer Challenge came in—an innovative program aimed at promoting sustainability and global charitable giving through everyday actions.

The Fill it Forward Experience

All BRANDITO employees were shuffled into teams and received a reusable water bottle equipped with a custom QR code. By refilling their bottles and scanning the code via the Fill it Forward app, employees contributed to charitable causes, such as providing clean water to communities in need. The app not only tracked individual and collective water intake but also provided real-time insights into how small, daily habits can lead to significant global change.

Engaging Employees and Promoting Wellness

Our integration of Fill it Forward was driven by a commitment to sustainable practices and creating team spirit. By having weekly team challenges, particularly important to boost morale during the summer slump, we encouraged teamwork and healthier habits that extended beyond the workplace. A remarkable 100% of participants reported becoming more conscious of their water consumption habits.

Measuring Success

The results were nothing short of inspiring. A significant 91.3% of participants felt a sense of community while engaging in the challenge. Of our 83 employees, 78 scanned their QR code at least once, contributing to our collective impact. The implementation of visible leaderboards tracked team progress, while weekly activities incentivized participation and boosted morale.  Together, our teams diverted 223.41 lbs of waste from landfills, reused 7,447 times, and saved 44.68 lbs of ocean pollution. These outcomes reinforced our commitment to sustainability and demonstrated that small, everyday actions can create substantial change.

BRANDITO's Summer Challenge not only enhanced internal employee engagement and amplified brand loyalty but also aligned perfectly with BRANDITO's mission of sustainability and giving back. This initiative has left a lasting impression on our company culture, demonstrating that when we come together with a common purpose, we can make a meaningful difference—both for our employees and the world at large.
